Harnesses only. Nothing else.
Harnesses that fita wide chest and a short neck.
A collar puts the whole pull on the neck. A harness spreads it across the chest — if it is cut for a Frenchie and not for a Labrador in a smaller size.

Why only harnesses
One thing, done properly.
A French Bulldog is roughly as wide as he is long. Most harnesses are built for a deep, narrow chest, so on a Frenchie they ride up under the front legs or slip sideways. Every harness here is chosen for that shape, and every size chart comes from two measurements: neck at the base, chest behind the front legs.
